barney seems to be such a tragic figure in the world of how i met your mother. it makes me quite sad to watch him to be honest, but at the same time he is my fave character on the show, and not because he is played by neil patrick harris. sometimes i have the feeling barney is just a fifth wheel in the group, taken for granded, only good enough for a laugh … :(
